Wellness versus Disease Treatment

Wellness versus Disease Treatment:  I recently had someone make call into my radio show.  She seemed frustrated for me that I can’t claim to treat disease.  Her exact words were “it must be frustrating that you can say you treat Osteoporosis.”

Wellness versus Disease Treatment: If you listen, or read my blog, you know I am careful about stating I don’t treat disease.  While one reason I’m clear about this is to remain FDA-Compliant, there is another reason.  In fact, what if I told you I’m glad that I don’t make that claim?  Why don’t I give you the same perfect example in just a bit?

So I was broadcasting my show on Bone Health & Osteoporosis.  In the middle of the show, a woman calls in.  She seemed frustrated, stating that she appreciated the information I provided, but was very angry at the FDA.  She was frustrated that natural health care providers like me could not claim to treat diseases like osteoporosis.  I told her I was glad I didn’t treat disease.  In fact, I’ll give you the same explanation I gave her.  Now don’t get me wrong, treating disease DOES HAVE ITS PLACE, and is a NECESSARY SERVICE.

About a year ago a patient came into my office asking me for a natural solution for osteoporosis.  We scheduled a consult.  During the consult I explained that I don’t treat diseases, including osteoporosis, but I could support healthy bone density.  I also explained the problems with calcium supplements, and that problems with bone density are typically a protein problem.  I performed Bio-Impedance analysis, and the patient scheduled testing.  We implemented a plan including a diet high in protein in calcium, along with specific enzymes that promote protein and calcium absorption, digestion, and use in the body.

The Results

A few months later, the patient reported that her latest bone density test was normal.  They also reported that their premenstrual cramps were almost nonexistent.  Additionally, they had more muscle mass and less body fat.  To confirm this, we did another Bio Impedance analysis.  We were both quite happy with the results.  So let’s compare this to treating Osteoporosis.  Treating Osteoporosis would have merely improved the patient’s bone density.  However, finding the source of stress in the body, and addressing that source of stress had a much broader and profound effect.  Which would you prefer?

Are you concerned about your health?  Does your ailment affect your work, family life or active lifestyle?  Would you like to support a healthy body safely, naturally and effectively?  Would you like to avoid drugs or surgery?  If so, you can contact us one of several ways to set up a consultation. You can reach us on the web, stop by our office in Redmond, WA, or call us at 425-868-0120. Then I will personally sit down with you and talk about your suffering and how it affects your life. I will even do some preliminary testing as well as Bio Impedance Analysis (BIA). In fact did you know that both NASA and Cancer Treatment Centers of America rely on BIA? These tests help me determine if you are a good candidate for care. If you’re not, we’ll make every effort to provide the proper referral.
