Flu Vaccine Success is Dismal

Flu vaccine success is dismal, even with inflated numbers.  Did you know the flu vaccine was only 36 percent effective?  However, there’s more to the story.  Sadly, these numbers are actually inflated.  Despite this dismally low success rate, the CDC still brags that the vaccine was a “grand success.”

Flu Vaccine Success is Dismal

Flu vaccine success is dismal.  First of all, let me explain how the CDC inflated the already low number of 36%.  That’s right, the CDC is proud of the 36% success rate of last year’s flu vaccine.  However, even that number is inflated.  Here’s why.  You see, this number is NOT based on absolute risk reduction (ARR). Instead, the CDC bases its vaccine effectiveness numbers on something called relative risk reduction (RRR), a vague and misleading postulation that exaggerates the vaccine’s effectiveness.  Then the CDC boasts this inflated number to the media, who passes it on to you.

Did you know when the flu is a virus?  Like any virus, it has thousands or even millions of strains.  Sadly, when they make the vaccine, experts play fortune teller.  They try to predict next year’s common strains and put those strains into their product.  However, when you look at the number of strains out there, the odds are stacked against them.  However, your immune system remembers how to kill every virus it encounters.  This makes your immune system more effective than the vaccine.

An Alternative Approach

At Redmond Ridge Nutrition, we take a unique approach to supporting healthy immune function.  Did you know your immune system needs protein and protein-based enzymes to work properly?  This is precisely why we focus on supporting healthy protein digestion, absorption and use to help your immune system keep the flu at bay.  After all, the flu vaccine success is dismal.

The Human Papillomavirus Vaccine, effectiveness and risks

The Human Papillomavirus Vaccine (HPV): effectiveness and risks.  Over the years big pharma seems to develop more and more vaccines.  In fact, one recent vaccine is the Human Papillomavirus Vaccine.  However, however, before seeking these treatments, one must look at their risks and effectiveness.

Human Papillomavirus Vaccine, effectiveness and risks

According to the Mayo Clinic, the most common symptom of an HPV infection is warts. However, certain types of HPV infection cause cervical cancers.  Furthermore, over 100 varieties of human papillomavirus exist.  In fact, different types of HPV infections actually cause warts on different parts of your body. For example, some types of HPV infection cause warts on the feet, while others cause warts that mostly appear on the face or neck.

While most HPV infections don’t lead to cancer.  Some types of genital HPV can cause cancer of the lower part of the uterus that connects to the vagina (cervix). However, there may be a link between the HPV virus and other types of cancers.  These include cancers of the anus, penis, vagina, vulva and back of the throat.

It’s important to remember that HPV only effects about 2% of the population, according to the CDC.  Furthermore, an even smaller percentage of those cases lead to cancer.  The CDC also adds that “In most cases, HPV goes away on its own and does not cause any health problems.”  So, the question arises, what about the vaccine?

The HPV Vaccine

According to the British Medical Journal, the Human Papillomavirus Vaccine is about 21% effective.  The vaccine is actually called 9-Valent.  According to drugs.com, side effects include headache, anxiety, back, leg, or stomach pains, bleeding gums, chest pain, chills, cough, difficulty with breathing, difficulty with swallowing, fast heartbeat, general body swelling, hives, vomiting, seizures, painful breathing and joint pain. There are actually even more. In fact, I’ve only listed a fraction of the side effects. Actually, there are 45 side effects in all.  On the up side, however, 9-Valent does not contain mercury or thimerosal.  Wow, a vaccine with no mercury!  In fact, mark your calendar because that doesn’t happen very often.

Should You Get the Vaccine?

To be honest, I can’t advise you on whether or not you should get the vaccine.  Keep in mind it is about 21% effective.  As a result, if it were me, I probably wouldn’t even consider the vaccine until the effectiveness increased.  Disclaimer: that does not constitute advice.  When any treatment, and I do mean any treatment you should weigh the risks and the benefits.  If the benefits outweigh the risks, it may be a good idea.  Otherwise, you may want to avoid it.

Are There Alternatives?

There really is no “replacement” for the HPV vaccine.  However, remember that most of the time, HPV is harmless and will go away on its own.   While I don’t treat or prevent HPV, enzyme nutrition can help support a properly working immune system.  If your immune system works like it should, the likelihood of getting HPV goes way down.

Are you concerned about healthy immune system function?  If so, contact us and set up a consultation or call us at 425-868-0120.  I will personally sit down with you and talk about your suffering and how it affects your life.  I will even do some preliminary testing as well as Bio Impedance Analysis, which is trusted by both NASA and Cancer Treatment Centers of America.  This will help me determine if you are a good candidate for care.  If you’re not, we’ll make every effort to provide the proper referral.

Vitamin D versus Flu Vaccine

Vitamin D versus Flu Vaccine

Vitamin D versus Flu Vaccine.   What an amazing world we live in.  Our access to natural health products has ushered in a wonderful new age of health and wellness.  In fact, there is some new evidence that suggests Vitamin D may be more effective than the flu vaccine.  In this article, we’ll delve right into that research.

The Common Medical Approach

The medical field, and when I say medical I really should say big phrama, has been touting the flu vaccine for years.  In fact they have convinced the government, medical industry and even the general population that it is necessary.  You know when my father was practicing medicine, the flu vaccine was only recommended for senior citizens.  The theory behind that is as you age your immune system diminishes like everything else.

However, there are several problems with the flu vaccine.  First of all First of all, the flu vaccine loaded with Thiomersal, which contains loads of mercury.   In fact Thiomersal contains over 2500 times more mercury than the EPA considers toxic.  The flu vaccine can also lead to a life threatening illness known as Guillain-Barré syndrome.  This horrible disease paralyzes the heart and lungs leading to death.  Additionally, there are only a couple of strains of the flu virus in the vaccine versus the millions of variations out there.

Vitamin D on the other hand,

Dr. John Cannell, founder of the Vitamin D Council, was one of the first to introduce the idea that vitamin D deficiency may actually be an underlying CAUSE of the flu.

His hypothesis1 was initially published in the journal Epidemiology and Infection in 2006. It was subsequently followed up with another study published in the Virology Journal in 2008.

The following year, the largest nationally representative study of its kind to date discovered that people with the lowest vitamin D levels indeed reported having significantly more colds or cases of the flu. In conclusion, lead author Dr. Adit Ginde stated:

“The findings of our study support an important role for vitamin D in prevention of common respiratory infections, such as colds and the flu. Individuals with common lung diseases, such as asthma or emphysema, may be particularly susceptible to respiratory infections from vitamin D deficiency.”

The Enzyme Nutrition Approach

Now in enzyme nutrition, we don’t seek to immunize against the flu, or even cure the flu.  In fact enzyme nutrition is not intended to diagnose or treat disease.  What it can do, however, is support healthy immune system function.   And of course, if your immune system is working properly, you’ll be able to fight off viral infections such as the flu much more efficiently.

Are you concerned about healthy immune function? Do you get sick a lot even with more Vitamin D?  Are you missing out on work family or fun?  If so, you can contact us one of several ways to set up a consultation. You can reach us on the web, stop by our office in Redmond, WA, or call us at 425-868-0120. Then I will personally sit down with you and talk about your suffering and how it affects your life.
