Chronic Pain Low Energy and Enzymes

Chronic Pain Low Energy and Enzymes.  “Doc, you don’t understand.  I have no energy.  I sleep until two to three in the afternoon.  When I do wake up, I want to go back to bed, and I’m in a lot of pain.  My husband is a truck driver, so he’s on the road quite a bit.  As a result, he relies on me to get things done here when he’s home.  I honestly don’t know how much longer I can keep this up.”

Chronic Pain Low Energy and Enzymes.  A woman came into my office a few months ago for an enzyme nutrition consult.  She basically told me she had no energy and suffered from chronic pain.  She stated her condition was so severe that she had trouble completing her household chores.  In fact, she was only awake for a few hours out of the day.  I clearly stated that enzyme nutrition does not treat any disease.  This includes fibromyalgia, chronic fatigue, or anything else for that matter.  I also explained how enzyme nutrition was a scientific way of finding stressed organs in her body, and helping those stressed parts work properly.  I also explained that we accomplish this with enzyme supplements and dietary changes.  Lastly, I told her that while every case is unique, I have helped many people in the past with such issues.

She mentioned she read about a link between digestive health and chronic pain and fatigue.  As a result, she tried probiotics.  However, she stated they didn’t help.

Could I help Her with Her Chronic Pain Low Energy with Enzymes?

After we talked, we went to one of my examination tables.  I performed BIA analysis, and ran some other preliminary tests.  Everything indicated that she was a good candidate for care.  She was eager to get started.  So, we scheduled a full enzyme nutrition examination.  In her case we used a signs & symptoms survey, an in-office challenge test, and a 24-hour urine analysis.  Once testing was complete I spent hours pouring over the results.

In fact, the results were quite revealing.  This patient’s liver was under a lot of stress.  Furthermore, the problem was there for a long time.  This caused toxins to back up into her digestive tract.  Over time, these toxins eroded away the healthy mucous membrane, and replaced it with a toxic biofilm where bad bacteria could thrive.  As a result, it wasn’t enough to use probiotics.  In fact, they couldn’t thrive with her mucous membrane depleted.  Furthermore, we couldn’t rebuild that mucous layer until we helped her body get rid of the biofilm.  To complicate matters, there was no point in getting rid of the biofilm until we helped her body cleanse the liver.  So, we had to do this in stages.

Stages of Healing

We started by helping her body cleanse the liver.  This way, toxins would not be overflowing into her digestive tract.  This took about 60 days in her case.  Once we were confident the liver was clean, we helped her body break down the biofilm with enzymes and herbs.  This took a while.  Furthermore, it wasn’t the most pleasant experience.  However, it was necessary to help this patient heal properly.

Afterwards, we used enzymes to help her body rebuild a healthy mucous layer in her digestive tract.  Only then did she take probiotics for a short time only.  This way, we could repopulate the healthy mucous membrane.  From this point forward, as long as she keeps her digestive tract healthy with the right diet and enzyme supplements, she doesn’t need to keep taking the probiotics.

A Woman Transformed

While it took a while, she was a completely new person.  She was waking up at 7 every morning feeling rested and energetic.  She was able to do all of her household chores without any pain or discomfort.  She even looked younger and more vibrant.  Of course, the changes were slow and steady.  She was so happy, she even brought her husband in for testing and treatment.

Digestion and Cancer – Gut Health May be the Key.  Did you know cancer is the now the leading deadly chronic disease in modern nations?  Unfortunately, this includes the great U.S.A.  Sadly, this is due to the western lifestyle, which includes poor diet, exposure to harmful toxins, and inactivity.  As a result, we need to arm ourselves with a multitude of tools to keep this deadly disease away.

As it turns out, research from the American Association for Cancer Research shows that gut health can help.  However, how can your gut health influence cancer?  Let me explain.  Your gut health affects your inflammation levels.  Furthermore, tons of research form around the globe links chronic inflammation with cancer, and many other deadly chronic diseases.   As a result, when your digestion is healthy, this supports healthy low inflammation levels.  When you don’t suffer from chronic inflammation, your greatly reduce your risk of cancer.

Probiotics aren’t Enough

Armed with this information, I bet I can guess what you’re thinking.  Once you’ve read this, you’re ready to run out and replenish your supply of probiotics.  Am I right?  However, while probiotics are all the rage right now, they may not be enough.  If you’ll indulge me for a second, I’ll explain why.

You see, probiotics need a place to live.  In fact, they need a healthy place to live.  They require a healthy mucous membrane in your gut.  However, due to the Standard American Diet (SAD), most Americans do not have a healthy mucous layer in their gut.  This means you can hound down probiotics till the cows come home.  Since they don’t have a healthy place to live, they can’t thrive.  In fact, this is where enzyme nutrition comes in.

Enzymes Help your Body Rebuild your Gut

At Redmond Ridge Nutrition, we focus on supporting a healthy digestive tract.  Of course, this includes nutritional support for a healthy mucous membrane in your gut.  In fact, only the right combination of enzymes with the right probiotics help your body properly build a healthy home for these important healthy bacteria.  Additionally, since the Standard American Diet will break down this home, dietary changes are also key.

Insomnia? Try improving gut health.

Insomnia? Try improving gut health.  Did you know that between 50 and 70 million Americans like you suffered from sleep problems in 2017?  In fact, this information comes from the CDC.  However, hope exists.  Cutting edge research shows that improving your gut health can improve your sleep.

Insomnia? Try improving gut health.  Research from a top neuroscience journal published in January of 2017 showed that if you improve your gut health, you can improve your sleep.  This study was so ground-breaking that “Frontiers in Behavior Neuroscience” published the article.

Less Sleep, Shorter Life

For starters did you know that insomnia taxes your immune system the exact same way an infection does?  So, if you compromise your immune system through sleep deprivation, what happens when you catch a cold?   You’ve basically overwhelmed your immune system.  As a result, your immune system cannot keep up with demand.  However, there are many other long-term effects to sleep deprivation, including a shorter life span.  In fact, studies exist to back this up.

So just what are all of the complications of staying up too late?   For starters, did you know that driving while tired is about the same as driving with a 0.10 blood alcohol level?  That’s right, driving while tired is the same as driving drunk.  As I stated earlier some 50-70 million Americans just like you suffer from insomnia.

While the study focused on gut friendly foods and probiotics, a word of caution is important. After all, your body should support a healthy population all by itself.  As a result, constantly downing probiotics addresses the symptom, and not the cause.  It’s important to use the right combination of diet and enzyme supplements to create a healthy mucous layer.  Once your gut has a healthy mucous layer, your probiotics will thrive on their own.

Some Dietary Tips

In fact, here is a list of gut-friendly foods: Apples, Asparagus, Banana, Beetroot, Breast milk, Burdock root, Cashews, Chicory root, Couscous, Fennel bulb, Garlic, Grapefruit, Green peas, Jerusalem artichokes, Jicama, Konjac root, Leeks, Nectarines, Onion, Persimmon, Pistachios, Pomegranate, Savoy cabbage, Seaweed, Shallots, Snow peas, Tamarillo

Please remember to ferment your grains and beans and soak all nuts until they sprout.

Conversely, here is a list of things that can compromise gut health: Antibiotics, Conventionally raised meats, Processed foods, Excessive sugars, Agricultural chemicals, Antibacterial soap.

However, if this is a long-term problem, your healthy mucous layer was replaced by unhealthy biofilm.  Sadly, we have to get rid of the bio film first.

Our Unique Approach

At Redmond Ridge Nutrition, we take a comprehensive approach to gut health.  If biofilm is present, we use the right enzymes to break it down first.  Then the right combination of enzymes can create healthy mucous layers in the stomach, small intestines and large intestines.  Once each layer is healthy, then we can use the right prebiotics and probiotics to repopulate.  Once we repopulate, there is no need to continue taking them.

Do you have trouble falling or staying asleep?  Perhaps you’re concerned about a loved one.  Does it affect school, work, family or play?  If so, don’t wait.  Let us help you safely, effectively, and naturally without drugs or surgery. In fact, you can contact us one of several ways to set up a consultation. You can reach us on the web, stop by our office in Redmond, WA, or call us at 425-868-0120. If you do, I will personally sit down with you and talk about your suffering and how it affects your life.  Together, we can determine if you are a good candidate for care. If you’re not, I’ll make every effort to provide the proper referral.

Probiotics diversity and health…

Probiotics diversity:  Recent research discovered that our ancestors had more germs living inside them.  Is it possible that this diversity was the key to their health?

Probiotics diversity: When researchers looked at our ancestors the discovered several key factors about the germs living in and on them.  First, they found a more diverse population of germs.  Additionally, scientists discovered that helpful worms lived inside our ancestors.  In fact, the researcher suggests that these worms were just as helpful as the bacteria.

Now for the bad news…

Unfortunately, the study also shows that many of the helpful germs that lived in the bellies of our ancestors are extinct.  Sadly, bringing them back seems like an impossible task.  Additionally, while the evidence of helpful worms in their GI tract is strong, no one really knows which worms actually lived in side our ancestors.  Researchers only know that they came from a group of parasites called helminths.  As a result, some people now experiment with populating themselves with different types of helminths.  However, the type of worms they use are harmful, not helpful.  Sadly, this can lead to a host of problems.

What you can do Today…

Until researchers find out exactly what worms lived in our ancestors, you should avoid them.  In fact, the worms that lived in our ancestors may even be long extinct.  In the meantime, try to use the right combination of enzymes and probiotic supplements to create a healthy and diverse population in and on your body.  However, please remember these two key points:  First of all, these germs live in more places than your gut.  In fact, they live in your bladder, on your skin, in the birth canal, in the lungs and other locations.

Secondly, your body needs these helpful germs for immune health, behavioral health, mental health, brain health, digestive health and overall health.  In fact, they can even help your body keep allergies and inflammation at bay.   Lastly, it’s important to feed those probiotics with the right kinds of fiber from fresh fruits and vegetables.  We actually have a probiotic restoration system that helps your body repopulate a healthy and diverse population everywhere they should live; not just in the gut.
