positive thinking overcomes odds
Yes, positive thinking overcomes odds and diversity

Positive Thinking Overcomes Odds.  Perhaps many of you out there caught the recent Super Bowl.  If your team won, you’re probably ecstatic.  Otherwise, you may be disappointed or upset.  But let me take a minute to tell you how to turn that experience into a positive one, no matter who your team is.  In fact, we can all learn a valuable lesson from the outcome of the game regardless of which side you’re on.

I remember perusing through Facebook during half time, and watching all of the comments.  They all were boasting that “It’s over!”, or “The Cheating Dynasty team is going down!” or many comments like that.  My response (and I’m not a fan of either team) was that despite the incredibly one-sided score, you can’t count them out.  In fact, the score at half time was 28 to 3.  It really appeared to be “all buttoned up”.

It Gets Interesting…

But what happened in the second half?  A team that had absolutely no chance of winning overcame incredible odds and diversity.  They played their game; they made their adjustments and slowly caught up.  In fact astute viewers will even note that they didn’t even panic or rush.  To this particular team, it was just another day it the office.  By the end of the fourth quarter, it was all tied up.  And, of course they won in overtime.

Now this team is hated by 80% of America.  That means 80% of America was hoping they’d lose.  In fact when I browsed Facebook after the game it was loaded with complaints and negativity.  But I’d like to take a moment to explain that you could get something amazing out of this experience even if your team didn’t win.  And yes, I know what you’re thinking, “what could I possibly learn from this.”

What You Can Learn…

A football team, whether you like them or not, kept a winning attitude, executed a plan and overcame incredible odds.  Did you know you can do the same thing in your life?  Yes, you can, but it’s important to know that you can’t just believe.  You have to believe, develop a plan, and execute that plan.  And yes, not everything will go as planned, accept that and alter your plan sacrificing your winning attitude and achieve success.  In fact you can apply this to any dream you wish to accomplish.  Did you know a goal is nothing more than a dream with action steps and mile stones built around it?
