Quality of Life Improved by spinal corrections.  We all want feel like we did when we were 20, right?  Unfortunately, despite many false claims by made by many products and services, it’s practically impossible.  However, our need for hope strongly outweighs our critical thinking in these matters.  As a result, many of us will try almost anything.  Well, I have yet another crazy idea for you.  However, I’ll even back this one up with independent research.  Have you ever thought about trying chiropractic to help preserve your active lifestyle as you age?

Chiropractic Helps Weight Loss.  In fact, new studies show that chiropractic helps weight loss.  Surprised?  In order to explain why, I’ll need to take you on a little journey.  Do you know what part of your brain is responsible for weight loss?  Remember that your brain has to parts.  First is the conscious part, where you think about things, and act based on those thoughts.  Second, however, is the autonomic nervous system.  This is the part of your brain that runs your body in the background.  In fact, it constantly makes adjustments in reaction to changes both in our bodies and in the outside world.  In fact, it’s called the Autonomic Nervous System, or ANS.

Your “Automatic” Brain

However, the ANS has two parts.  Furthermore, these parts work opposite each other.  The first is our fight or flight system.  In fact, it’s called the Sympathetic Nervous System or SNS.  Your brain turns this system up when you are more active.  In fact, it increases blood flow to the limbs & muscles, and releases chemicals into our blood that give us more energy.  While it was designed for emergencies, we also use it to burn calories when we exercise.  Additionally, the SNS also improves our metabolism.

Conversely, the other part is the calming part.  Actually, it’s called the Parasympathetic Nervous System, or PNS.  The PNS works opposite the fight or flight system.  This system “mellows” us out and relaxes us.  How does it work?  Well, it diverts energy away from our limbs and muscles and into things like digestion and elimination.  When the SNS is revved up, the PNS is automatically turned down and vis. versa.

As a result, to lose weight, our fight or flight system needs to work properly.  According to Chiropractic Journal, chiropractic care helps your fight or flight system work properly.  Additionally, research from Journal of Clinical Endocrinology & Metabolism shows that improved  SNS function helps you lose weight.

Chiropractic Helps Arthritis.  Unfortunately, there are many types of arthritis.  However, arthritis has two main groups.  In fact, these types include inflammatory or auto-immune and degenerative.  Fortunately, chiropractic shows promise for both types.  In fact, in one case study, an elderly woman stopped taking her medication because of chiropractic care.

While the main cause of degeneration is usually “wear and tear”, repetitive physical trauma can speed up this process.  Conversely, experts do not really understand the cause of many auto-immune types of arthritis.  However, they involve an over-active immune system, which attacks the joints in your body for reasons unknown.

Fortunately, research shows that chiropractic care shows promise in helping patients who suffer from joint problems.

The Common Solutions

While many turn to glucosamine pills with hopes of easing their suffering, most glucosamine products don’t work.  Why?  Unfortunately, most glucosamine pills are chemically inactive.  Basically, this means that the glucosamine cannot interact with your body.  In fact, look at it this way.  The chemical is an extension chord with three outlets.  As a result, your body has to plug into one of those outlets. However, all three outlets already have something plugged in.  In fact, your body needs enzyme to help this supplement work right.  The enzyme basically unplugs one of the cords.  Now there is a place for your body to work with the product.  This is why I became an expert in enzyme nutrition.

Diet and Exercise:  Many of you have made new year’s resolutions regarding diet and exercise.  In fact, they are probably the most popular resolutions people make.  When you add the excitement of the Olympics to the mix, this may increase your motivation to improve your health.

Both of these things can be good if they inspire and motivate you to improve your health.  However, if you attempt too many changes too rapidly, you could end up with health problems, lack of success or worse yet, headed in the wrong direction.

Forget Resolutions

First let’s start off with resolutions.  I’m actually not a huge fan of resolutions.  Why?  It’s actually quite simple.  Resolutions are intentions with no real game plan around them.  It’s like saying “It would be nice to be a famous rock star,” and then doing nothing about it.  For those of you who do achieve your resolutions, congratulations!  But I bet you take the approach I’m about to suggest.  Just what is that approach?  It’s goal setting.  When you set goals, you not only state your desired outcomes, you also break those goals down into smaller manageable steps.  Then you put mile stones around those steps.  This creates a plan that arms you for success.

Slow, Gradual Changes

When changing your diet or starting an exercise program, go slow.  Make gradual changes.  If you join a gym, the first thing you need to do is create the habit of going.  If you’re going to get up early and walk, start by getting up 5 minutes early.  When you’re used to that, increase to 10 minutes, and then 15 minutes etc.  When changing your diet, add health foods before eliminating unhealthy foods.  This will ease the process of getting rid of unhealthy habits.  Exercise and diet in groups.  You can do this by joining existing groups like weight loss programs and fitness classes, or you can start your own.  You can start your own be either recruiting friends and family with like-minded goals, or you can use social media and/or meeting sites to start your own group.

How can Enzymes Help

Actually, enzymes can help several ways.  First, the right enzymes can help your body maximize the nutrients it gets from the food you eat.  Second, the right enzymes may help support healthy energy levels, tissue repair, or even help your body deal with chronic pain properly so that you can exercise and recover from your workouts.

The keys to health

…As a result, when it comes to health and wellness, we tend to have this unrealistic expectation of an instant solution.  Unfortunately, it never works that way.  I can, however, give you simple formula for wellness.  Before I do, however, I need warn you.  While the formula is simple, it’s implementation can be challenging.  So why am I willing to give up this information so easily?  Simply stated, there are two reasons.  The first is that I sincerely want to arm you and your family with the knowledge that can help keep your family happy, healthy and active for a long time to come.  Secondly, while the formula is simple, the implementation may require help.  And I am ready, willing and able to help you if you need it.  Are you ready for the formula?

The Formula, “The Keys to Health”

As promised, here it is.  Actually, this way of looking at it comes from a mentor of mine, James Chestnut, D.C..  All you have to do is look at the ways you eat move and think.  Then simply ask your self these two (or four) vital questions.  How do you eat think and move in ways that are sufficient and pure?  Conversely, how do you eat think and move in ways that are deficient and/or toxic?  In fact, just about any health related issue can be explained as a failure in one of those areas.

Toxicity & Deficiency…

Let’s explain it.  When you’re toxic in something, that means that you have too much of something.  Either you got a little bit of something that is very harmful, or too much of something that, in moderation, might actually be good for you.  With the example of diet, many drugs have toxins in them.  Additionally, there are many foods on the shelves in your grocery store that you should not eat at all.

On the flip side, fats, for example, are not only healthy, but they are necessary for healthy brain function and energy.  However, I’m sure you all know what happens when you  eat too much.  Certain motions are harmless, until we do them over and over again day after day.  Things like sitting behind a computer, and moving the mouse.  And yes, thoughts can be toxic too.  Too many negative thoughts can not only cause emotional problems but nutritional and physical problems as well.

Meanwhile, I think deficiency is much easier to explain.  It simply means you don’t have enough of something that you need to maintain health and wellness.  These include positive thoughts, the right nutrients, and getting enough physical activity.

Sufficiency & Purity

Both purity and sufficiency are also relatively easy to explain.  Sufficiency simply means that you get enough of the things you need to get and stay healthy.  From a nutritional standpoint, it means you are getting all of the vital nutrients you need.  When delving into the physical realm, it means you’re getting enough movement, i.e. exercise.  as far as thoughts are concerned, it means you are  thinking in a positive manner, and staying away from negativity.  In fact, you are keeping your mind focused on the unshakable fundamental values of universal love and forgiveness of self and others.

When it comes to purity and diet, ask yourself this.  Not only are the foods you’re eating rich in necessary nutrients, but are the free of toxins?  If you’re exercising, when you’re doing a certain exercise are the moves pure.  That is, are you isolating the right muscle group without  any excess motions?  These excess motions can lead to a lack of results, or even worse, injury.  As far as mind set is concerned with every thought and action do you truly have your core values in mind in a way that is not clouded by alternative motives?

How can Enzymes Help?

So how in the world can enzymes help eliminate toxicity and deficiency?  Furthermore, how can they promote sufficiency and purity?  What in the world to enzymes have to do with the keys to health?  Of course there’s only so much enzymes can do but I’ll delve into that now.  It’s important to remember that enzymes are required for every chemical reaction in your body.  In fact enzymes perform two vital functions.  Digestive enzymes make sure you can digest and absorb vital nutrients from your food.  Meanwhile, internal enzymes ensure your body uses those vital nutrients properly where they’re needed most.  As a result, whenever I work with a patient I require them to make dietary changes.  If you don’t give these valuable enzymes food that is sufficient and pure, how well do you think they can use the fuel you put in your body?  Additionally your liver, kidneys, colon, and skin require enzymes to support healthy elimination of toxins.

But how can enzymes help in the physical realm?  I’m so glad you asked.  When you exercise, you are cause a controlled micro injury to the muscles that you’re working.  The right enzymes help your body repair that muscle tissue and build more muscle properly.  Additionally, what if you don’t have the energy to exercise, or what if you have chronic pain or an injury that prevents you from exercising?  The right enzymes can help your body deal with pain properly,  In fact, the right enzymes can support healthy injury recovery or even support healthy energy levels.
