My father is a retired medical doctor. I will never forget when he opened his practice when I was very young. It was a private practice – as were most doctors’ offices in those days. You see, once upon a time, when you went to see your family doctor, you went to his private office. He knew you, he knew your family. You checked in at the front, you were called back. The nurse did some preliminary work and then the doctor came in to see you. Not only that, she or he actually spent time with you.
Then came the days of managed care. All of a sudden, private practice could not keep up with all of the regulation changes and increased paperwork required to stay in business. Little by little private practices were closed down or swallowed up by the corporate hospital system. In fact, according to an article in the New York Times, the main drive for constantly changing regulations is NOT public safety. Instead, it is because large corporations have the resources to stay up on them. Private practices cannot keep up. So the real purpose of constant regulation changes is to stomp out the little guy.
Just Like the Good ‘Ol Days…
At Redmond Ridge Nutrition & Chiropractic, we spend time with our patients. The first thing we do is sit down and listen to you about your condition, suffering and concerns. My patients can talk to me in my office about their issues in a private setting. While I’m not a medical doctor, I am make every effort to keep the spirit of private practice alive.
If you are looking for close, personal attention, let us know. In fact, you can contact us one of several ways to set up a consultation. You can reach us on the web, stop by our office in Redmond, WA, or call us at 425-868-0120. Then I will personally sit down with you and talk about your suffering and how it affects your life. I will even do some preliminary testing as well as Bio Impedance Analysis (BIA). In fact did you know that both NASA and Cancer Treatment Centers of America rely on BIA? These tests help me determine if you are a good candidate for care. If you’re not, we’ll make every effort to provide the proper referral.
Most importantly, we will take the time to listen to you about your suffering and health concerns, and how they affect your daily life, family and work.
