Do you suffer from constipation? Does it impact your daily life? Are you constantly taking medications or fiber to manage your constipation? When you suffer from bowel problems, it typically means you have trouble digesting your food. In fact most people in your situation are not aware of the long term effects of constipation. Well, you’re not alone. In fact his is a very common issue. According to a study by the National Institute of Health, digestive problems affect 60–70 million Americans. This was a recent study published in 2014. And of course, this includes constipation.

Complications

Did you know constipation has some serious complications? Unfortunately many people just like you are unaware of these problems. And they can be quite harmful. But first it’s vital to understand that constipation is basically a tightly packed stool that is rich in nutrients. Why? Because those nutrients never made it into your body. As a result, this nutrient rich stool attracts harmful bacteria which feed on those nutrients. As the bacteria feed, the bowel becomes toxic and even gangrenous. This toxicity can lead to a host of symptoms including weakness, “brain fog”, allergies, chronic inflammation and more. More seriously, according to research, it can also lead to cancer. In fact a major medical school is responsible for that research.

Common Approaches to Constipation

The common medical approach is to recommend fiber. And just where do they want this fiber to come from? The answer is whole grains. Unfortunately, whole grains contain two harmful materials. One of them destroys both the helpful probiotics in your gut and the environment they need to thrive. Meanwhile, the other shuts down crucial digestive enzymes. These enzymes are necessary to break down your food for digestion. If this approach fails, medical doctors often resort to medication. Sadly, these medications eventually stop working.

Once these drugs fail your doctor will probably give you even stronger meds. Sadly, those too will fail. Then your doctor will refer you to a specialist. And of course you are adrift at sea in the health care maze. These specialists will run a battery of invasive and painful scoping tests. Or sometimes they will even collect a surgical sample. These tests are very expensive, painful and may have significant side effects. Most importantly, however, they still fail to identify the root cause of the problem.

Our Approach

Your bowel function is a direct result of your digestive health. And while I don’t diagnose or treat any disease (including constipation), our office can help support healthy digestion. And of course this, in turn, promotes healthy bowel function. In fact I provide this support with a specific plan. And this plan usually includes custom dietary changes and the correct enzyme supplements. Of course I only make recommendations after scientific testing based on sound medical ideas.

Are you constantly “backed up”? Are you concerned about healthy digestion? Do you spend hours or days at home waiting for it to subside? Are you missing out on work family or fun? If so, give us a call and set up a consultation. I will personally sit down with you and talk with you about your suffering and how it affects your life. I will even do some preliminary testing as well as Bio Impedance Analysis (BIA). In fact did you know that both NASA and Cancer Treatment Centers of America rely on BIA as part of their practice? These tests help me determine if you are a good candidate for care. If you’re not, we will make every effort to provide the proper referral.

Our promise to our patients

If you decide to call us and set up a consultation, we will provide direct, personal attention in a peaceful and unrushed atmosphere. We are dedicated to helping you reclaim your healthy lifestyle without harmful drugs or surgery.
