Weight loss and enzymes. Well, it’s that time of year again. Yes, it’s time to get healthier. So how many of you put weight loss on your list? How many years in a row is this? How many times have you succeeded in losing weight? Unfortunately many Americans like you are in the same boat. They want to lose weight but they can’t for a whole host of reasons. In this article, we’ll attempt to dive into those reasons and then go into some effective ways to lose weight and keep it off.
The Challenges of Weight Loss
So why is it so hard to lose weight? Well, there are actually a number of key reasons. The first one is that many people use starvation diets to lose a lot of weight rather quickly. In fact, maybe you’ve tried that yourself. Sadly, once the diet is over it’s only a matter of time until you go back to your old habits. A major reason for this is starvation diets create cravings. Another major reason is that there are many causes for building body fat.
The body stores fat for two main reasons. First is lack of nutrients Oh sure. Americans eat a lot but much of that food is dense in calories and sparse in nutrients. The second main reason is stress. And according to the APA, or American Psychological Association, over 75% of Americans like you feel too much stress. Either of these problems causes your body to build up and store excess fat. What’s more, stress and lack of nutrients actually make you hungrier causing you to eat more.
As a result, TRUE WEIGHT LOSS can only occur when the entire body is healthy. Furthermore, it is vitally important to address nutrition AND stress when you want to slim down. Lastly it’s more important to think of healthy body composition rather than weight. Two people can have the same height and weight, but one has lean muscle mass and the other has body fat.
How Enzymes Help
So how in the world can enzymes help? Although enzymes are often associated with digestion, this is not their only function. Enzymes are proteins that control thousands of activities throughout the body. They are also responsible for the use of vitamins, minerals, nutrients, the regulation of hormones, and the health of the immune system. Enzymes also play an important role in detoxification, a vital component of weight loss. Even basic activities like breathing and talking rely on the presence of metabolic enzymes. Look at it this way. Not only can enzymes help you get more nutrients from your food, they can also support healthier functioning organs under stress.
